Reclaimed Fireplace Mantels Built in the Hudson Valley

Reclaimed Creations builds fireplace mantels from old growth beams pulled out of barns and mills across the Northeast. We have been doing it since 2014, and we have finished more than 750 mantels in that time. Every one is cut, sanded, and finished at our yard in Hopewell Junction, New York.

Hand-Hewn Mantels

Hand-hewn beams were shaped with an axe and an adze, usually a hundred years ago or more. The tool marks are still in the face. No two are close to identical, and the surface catches light in a way milled lumber never does.

How We Build Yours

• ✦Send us your fireplace width, along with the length, height, and depth you want. A photo of the opening helps more than measurements alone.
• ✦Pick a beam. You can work from what is in stock or have one cut from a raw beam in the yard.
• ✦Choose the finish. Natural, clear coat, or a custom stain matched to what you send us.
• ✦We cut, sand, and finish it, then ship it or hold it for pickup.

Most orders are ready within two weeks. If you need one faster, call and ask. Sometimes we can work around it.
