Reclaimed Creations builds fireplace mantels from old growth reclaimed beams, and we have sold them to customers in Massachusetts. We deliver throughout the state, from Great Barrington and Lenox in the Berkshires to Northampton, Worcester, and Boston, or you can pick your mantel up at our yard in Hopewell Junction, New York. Hand-Hewn Mantels

Hand-hewn beams were squared by hand with an axe and an adze, usually a century or more ago. The tool marks run deep and uneven, which is what makes a hand-hewn mantel look its age.

Rough Sawn Mantels

Rough sawn beams came out of a mill with arcing marks from a circular blade. The face is flatter than hand-hewn, so the mantel reads cleaner on the wall.

Delivery and Pickup

We deliver mantels throughout Massachusetts. The cost depends on the size of the mantel and the distance, so call with your zip code and we will price it.

If you would rather collect it, or pick the beam yourself, the yard at 40 Railroad Ave in Hopewell Junction is open Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturday until noon, by appointment only.

This is an estimate for a straight cut at standard depth. Anything beyond that, we will price on the phone once we have your measurements.

A five-foot in-stock mantel is $495, sanded, finished, and ready to hang, with no design fee. Most orders are ready within two weeks.

Yes. Along with natural and clear coat, we can do a custom stain matched to what you send us, at no extra charge.

How do I care for a reclaimed mantel?+

Dust it. If the finish dulls after a few years, a coat of paste wax brings it back. Do not use household cleaners or anything with ammonia on the face.

Can you cut a mantel to fit my fireplace?+

Yes. Send the length, height, and depth you want, or a photo of the fireplace with the opening width, and we will recommend a size that looks right.
